Black Sherif wins Best West African Artist of the Year at 16th Headies Awards

 Ghanaian vocalist, Dark Sherif, has given his fans something to cheer about as he wins the West African Craftsman of the Year at the sixteenth Headies Grants.



The Headies Grants 2023 which was held in Atlanta Georgia, USA, on Sunday, September 3, knocked some people's socks off as the artist made that big appearance to get the honor.

The "Kwaku the voyager" hit creator was named among Afropop artists like Gyakie, Camidoh, and The Specialist from Liberia for a similar class.



Dark Sherif in the wake of getting the honor said thanks to his fans in Nigeria and Ghana, with exceptional thanks to those in Konogo Zongo, his origin in the Ashanti Area.


"Thank you kindly to the fans, to the audience members. Much thanks to you Headies, thank you Nigeria, Thank you Ghana, thank you Konongo Zongo, I love you," he said.


Early this year, the "Second message" vocalist additionally won Most Famous Melody of the Year and Best Coordinated effort of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Grants (VGMAs).



He additionally won the most sought after, Craftsman of the Year grant on that very night.
